Complexity - This Week in Supply Chain Management (46 / 2011)

This week has been low on news. Nevertheless, I found two great articles which might be interesting for you as well. Here in the blog this was the week of the alternative topics (see below).
Blogs
- Some follow-up to a Financial Times article on supply chain complexity I linked two weeks ago: Enterra Insights (formerly known as: Enterprise Resilience Blog) now summarized some critical thoughts on it, concluding that complexity itself may be not the issue, but rather missing oversight over the current network. (Enterra Insights)
- The @risk blog summarizes the recently published study on supply chain resilience by the Business Continuity Institute. (atrisk)
If you scroll down a little bit you can have a look at my articles from this week:
- Monday: For a long time I wanted to read about how supply chain risk management is done and perceived by small companies. I finally got around: Supply Risk Management from a Small Company’s Perspective
- Also Wednesday brought a new topic: How relevant are business sciences to managerial practice?
Six weeks left of 2011. Enjoy your weekend!
